The Word of the week – January 8, 2013

Let’s start the new year off with something positive…the word of the week for is Humour… After the holiday season and all of the stress that time of the year can bring…. it is time to consider an injection humour and laughter into your life. When is the last time that you laughed so hard that you could not catch your breath? We all don’t find the same things funny and laughter is the first thing to go when there is stress. Stop….. and think about your world for a minute how much time in one day do you give over to looking for things that amuse you. Is there any one thing that can even make you crack a smile? If there isn’t …..what are you doing about it?

Humour and laughter strengthen your immune system, boost your energy, diminish pain, and protect you from the damaging effects of stress. Consider what you can do to bring humour back into your life. What are listening to with regularity…and think about the effect it is having on you.

Take a few minutes each morning to set up your intentions for the day…

Remember…….. thoughts become things….and what you desire for yourself can and will come to you. That goes both ways though – both positive and negative.

For those of you who are stuck as to where to begin….. consider starting each day with –prayers to your higher power…… gratitude first…addressing the positives can be an issue in different periods of your life. We have all experienced difficulty and disappointment and flat out devastation from one extreme to another. Life’s journey can be rough and we have all had those times when you could not even find it within ourselves to smile….. let alone laugh. Consider stopping and taking a moment to start the list of positives . I encourage all of you to write it down and update the list with regularity so when you forget you can refer back to what brings you joy and laughter….that one act of reviewing the list will bring in the positive energy you need to start pushing back the negativity….remember negativity cannot exist in positivity.

Don’t forget you can also be grateful for the negatives…… because they set the platform for growth……. and we become emotionally stronger as a result.

We have all had those times in our lives …..when we were going through them there was absolutely nothing funny about it…..but in hindsight after time has gone by and sometimes it can be years….we are able to find humour in that life event. We time……learn to laugh and find humour in some of the biggest perceived adversities in our lives. That is when you are ready to let it go and heal.

Consider what are your first thoughts of the day are– do you open your eyes and immediately start looking for all the negatives in your life…the bad feelings from the day before – the pain that you feel on your body……… is that what you have learned to identify your life by…. or do you open your eyes…… and look for the positives that exist within you…… and the positives that are present around you in your world. Then….do you take the time to be grateful. That one simple act will change things.

Consider taking the time to Learn how to laugh at yourself and not take yourself so seriously all the time. Try adopting a lighter perspective towards the day to day events around you that cause you stress.

Your sense of humour….. is one of the most powerful tools you have….. to make certain that your daily mood and emotional state support your health and well being.

One Flaw in Women

The Word of the week – January 15, 2013

Women have strengths that amaze men...

They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream. They sing when they want to cry.

They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.

They fight for what they believe in. They stand up to injustice.

They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.

They go without so their family can have.

They go to the doctor with a frightened friend. They love unconditionally.

They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.

They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding.

Their hearts break when a friend dies. They grieve at the loss of a family member,

yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.

They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.

Women come in all shapes, sizes and colours.

They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.

The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.

They bring joy, hope and love.

They have compassion and ideas.

They give moral support to their family and friends.

Women have vital things to say and everything to give..

I hope that this reminds you just how truly amazing you are.

The Word of the week – January 15, 2013

Thanks everyone for watching the show this week. It is an honour to assist you through the Divine in resolving your problems. I appreciate all the positive feedback so much.

The word of the week is… Serenity

This word has been coming up a lot for me this week. I have talked to you before about the fact that working with the divine is an adventure and always the divine will bring people to my door and as the readings accumulate I can identify specific themes that consistently play themselves out from reading to reading. Each reading in the course of a day or a week tethers together by a common life event or a common emotional outcome. There are several ways that this can play itself out but this week lent itself to the true meaning of serenity. For some of you serenity may be an elusive concept. Let’s think about the meaning of the word for a minute….

Serenity means: being serene, clearness and calmness, quietness, stillness and peace….or Calmness of mind, even tempered, undisturbed state, coolness and composure.

Now you have just processed that through your intellectual mind…now observe these words from a visual perspective….see it in your mind and allow yourself to feel the words and observe what they truly mean to you and where they exist within…

Be serene….quiet, still, peaceful, calmness of mind, composed…that feels different doesn’t it. What would an even temper look like for you and is that something that you should consider working on?

Be serene….quiet, still, peaceful, calmness of mind, composed…that feels different doesn’t it. What would an even temper look like for you and is that something that you should consider working on?

You may want to take the time to consider if chaos and anxiety exist within the Inner self and what does chaos and anxiety look like in my day-to-day world.

Then consider observing if serenity exists within your spirit and if you have allowed it into your day-to-day world. What are you doing for yourself to support serenity within the body, mind and spirit.

Serenity can be a large component for you to do the work. Allowing the energy of serenity into your inner world will assist in identifying and resolving those issues that you have stored at a cellular level and are interfering with you moving forward.

When you get stuck on your journey please know that I am here to assist you through the divine.

The Word of the week – January 23, 2013

It was a great show last night and thanks to all of you who called in and those of you who didn’t get through be patient ….when you are meant to get through you will. Thanks for coming and looking for more clarity on the word of the week. The word of the week this week is Choice

To some of you that word will make you shake to your core. To others you can move into choice with ease and clarity. Take a moment to consider what that one word means in your day-to-day life. We choose every moment of every day. Every thought, every action, every reaction. We choose to resolve or to remain stuck. We choose our words, our lifestyle, we choose our emotional state. We consciously choose to either have faith, belief and hope or not apply any of that in our daily life. We choose to stay focussed or numb out. We stand in judgement of others and demand that no one stands in judgement of us. Every day I have people in front of me that have forgotten that they have chosen the circumstances that they are in. They have difficulty sometimes seeing their role in their choices and how their choices are reflecting from their inner self. They have chosen to give up. They have chosen sadness over joy. They are stuck. If all things tether back to a thought then we experience our thought processes every day from both the conscious and subconscious mind. We are the magnet and life is the filings….and we draw the circumstances and people to us that support our thoughts and choices. If you are doing the work and give yourself over to the divine to lead you and guide you to choices that are more appropriate for you then you will see that you can experience life from another perspective see the joy and opportunity that exists all around you. If you are not ready then you will not have the ability to see what is right in front of you. Opening your mind to the potential of change and that you can you choose to step outside the same old thoughts, the same old actions, the same old reactions? For example if you are sad all the time and you want to become a more positive person and you ask the divine to bring that to you. If you have not considered for a moment what positivity can look like then you will not see what has been in front of you the whole time.

For now consider this….take that one word into your past and examine where the right to choose played a role. Choices made on your behalf and choices that you made…let it all bubble up and acknowledge the emotions that come up. You cannot change the past but you can choose to change how you feel about the past and how it will affect your present. Then come forward into the present …..What does choice look like for you now and how is it affecting your day-to-day life. If you are not happy with the choices you are making then what are you going to do about it? Then take a breathe…and look into the future…how are the choices that you are making now affecting your future…How could your future be different if you made the decision to choose something else today? That is a lot for you to consider this week and it actually is something that you can consider over many weeks so we will address this again from another perspective. Be gentle on yourself and others and try not to step in the rage of what you perceive has happened to you. When we give ourselves over to negativity it will cloud our intent and hold us back from resolution. Pray and ask for clarity and your divine guides will assist you with unconditional love on your journey.

When you get stuck on your journey please know that I am here to assist you through the divine.

Remember you choose your thoughts, your words, your actions and your reactions to every life event. Stay conscious of the effects that you have on others with the choices that you make. Thank you everyone for all your support for the show and thank you for joining me this week…I pray that this week brings you Clarity of choice and blessings….see you next Tuesday at 9:00 pm live Rogers Cable 10 on Divine Lane.

The Word of the week – January 29, 2013

Thanks everyone for watching the show this week. It is an honour to assist you through the Divine in resolving your problems. I appreciate all the positive feedback so much.

The word of the week is… Wish

Consider this for a moment….how many times in a day do you hear the word wish. I wish I could afford that….I wish I could have that….I wish he/she would call me…I wish I could live like that…I wish I could have that luck…..I wish I could win the lottery….. honestly how many times have I heard that one…..if I had a penny for every time, I too would be a millionaire…but think about it for a minute how would you finish that sentence…”I wish I could……” Most people will identify what they desire and dream of. They will step outside what they know to be their day-to-day and stretch their imagination ….sometimes it will arrive spontaneously and for others the wish will come from a long standing frustration….. to hope and dream for something outside of what is normally being achieved. Sometimes we are wishing for what would be the perceived unattainable….sometimes wishing for change that is born more from a sense of hopelessness than that of hope…. We have all had those moments where we are wishing for circumstances different from those that we are experiencing at that moment. It is a go to word that gets you outside the stress that you are sitting in….I wish they wouldn’t treat me that way is just one common example where wishing becomes really quite a passive word in some ways…wishing will hold us hostage in our circumstances. Wishing and working towards resolution are completely different things. Sometimes the wish is avoiding what is right in front of you….. Wishing will interfere with hope and cloud resolution. Hope leads you to faith and faith gives you the emotional strength to keep working towards resolution.

Wishing can also create whimsy and hope for potential of some magical realm where desires go to manifest into reality and appear before us as a surprise. The word wish can be a solve all…if you got your wish…… then what.

Why is it then that people are generally more comfortable with making a wish than sending up a prayer to the divine asking for real assistance with their wants. I believe that part of it is because we are always having an internal battle with what we want and what we need.

Consider asking yourself this week. First of all…”If I could have a wish….what would it be”…then “what could I do to make this wish come true?” Take the time to identify if your wish is emotionally based or materially based. It is an interesting observation to see how much of your desire lies within the material world. Then take a moment to acknowledge and identify those wishes that are of an emotional nature. Is your material world holding you back from resolving your emotional needs. Consider it.

It is a fun visualization to go to the land of wishes…what would that look like to you…what would exist there….how would it make you feel. It is the kind of visualization that is very emotionally uplifting. I encourage you to give it a try.

But in the end…as it always is…we need to come back to reality but what you dream in the land of wishes could assist you in redefining your reality as you know it.

Blessings and Wishes,

The Word of the week – February 14, 2013

Thanks everyone for watching the show this week. It is an honour to assist you through the Divine in resolving your problems. I appreciate all the positive feedback so much.

The word of the week is… Love

I chose love because of what is happening in a couple of days. Thursday is Valentine’s Day! Which means…. hearts and flowers and chocolates….for those of you who wish to acknowledge it. It is a happy day for some and the saddest of days for others….It is truly the one day in the year that romantic love smacks you in the face. No matter where you look right now it is a reminder of what is coming. So if you have someone saying they “forgot” they are living under a rock because reds hearts and cupids are hanging everywhere as a reminder. For those of you who are looking for love and say bah humug to Valentines it is just another day to ignore dealing with the problem. If you have watched this show you have seen for yourself that love life is one of the biggest concerns for people. Where is it and how do they find it and when will it happen. When you are living without a romantic love and desire it more than words can express that bone aching need to find that special someone takes precedence over everything else. Heart ache is just a part of the human condition. We learn a lot about life and ourselves through heart ache. We are all looking for unconditional love but before you can find it….. you need to achieve it. When I say that I mean learning to love yourself unconditionally will help you define what unconditional love will look like when it finds you. With that thought though I have to take you back to personal responsibility. You need to love yourself first. I am not talking about the love that is built purely on ego whereby you are trying to convince the world that you are lovable. I am talking about the basic ability to be able to look at yourself in the mirror and say the words…..”I love you” to yourself. For those of you who have tried that you know what I am talking about when I say…it is very interesting the emotions that come up when you give yourself over to the experience. It’s simple to do and reveals a lot. All the things that are emotionally preventing you from achieving it will come to mind and that is when the work begins. That work is individual and can be very revealing and freeing at the same time.

So….I am asking that you consider using Valentine’s day as the beginning of a new you. That it will be the first day of the rest of your life when you make the decision to love you….to love you unconditionally and if you are having difficulty feeling that then choose to make a commitment to yourself to do the work to find out and acknowledge all the wonderful things about you. When you can truly acknowledge love for yourself then you will be able to accept the love of another. How does someone love you if you don’t know how you want to be loved?

The Word of the week – February 26, 2013

Thanks everyone for watching the show this week. It is an honour to assist you through the Divine in resolving your problems. I appreciate all the positive feedback so much.

The word of the week is… Detachment

I picked the word detachment because I find it to be a common problem within the human condition. The ability for people to put things down or detach themselves from relationships or situations that are inappropriate for them. There are two ways that I would like to approach this word for your consideration. The question that I would like you to ask yourself first of all is there something or someone in your life that you should consider detaching yourself from. Give your thoughts over to that for a moment and think about your day-to-day life. Are there also habits or behaviours that are interfereing with your life or your relationships with others that you should consider detaching yourself from. Is there someone in your present that is doing you more harm than good and it is time to detach or are there behaviours or beliefs that are not serving you well that you should consider taking personal responsibility for and start working towards detaching yourself from them. There is also that situation whereby you cannot in good conscience cut this person out of your life. An example of that would be a family member or long standing friendship. What I am suggesting is that the first step that you should consider is what your role and responsibility is in the situation or behaviour. Personal responsibility is key to begin resolution and healing. Then look at taking the steps to remove the drama from your life.

Another way to look at detachment is I find that quite often it is coming up that people are feeling detached from spirituality, love, friendship, success, resolution, just to name a few and I also find that it is very common for people feel that they are detached from their inner self and feel set adrift in life. Not knowing who they are, what they stand for or what they need let alone what they want. I hear it quite often that they don’t feel attached to the world around them or have any perceived control over their outcome. This is where I give you a gentle nudge towards your spirituality. It is a safe journey and very enlightening about self. Once again, quite often when spirituality is addressed it has been my experience that anger and disappointment comes up and creates a wall that prevents movement forward and spirituality is put down yet again. The question I am suggesting you ask yourself is…have you walked away from daily commitment to your spirituality because of popular opinion, the influence of someone close to you, or lack of connection to your divine leaving your feeling forgotten and unseen by your God and guardian angels or is it because you researched it and decided that it had no place in your life. I strongly suggest that you re-evaluate that part of your life from another perspective and go deeper into your understanding of that topic.

Overall detaching yourself from those situations, behaviours and beliefs that are no longer bringing you to resolution, peace, contentment, joy and love within your inner self….what your goal for all of this is to release all inappropriate thoughts, beliefs, behaviours, situations and people over to the divine for healing and to be returned to you in a healed state. Before that can happen though you need to take the time and do the work to consider and identify those things that you should detach yourself from. Once again I give that to you to think about.

The Word of the week – March 11, 2013

Thanks everyone for watching the show this week. It is an honour to assist you through the Divine in resolving your problems. I appreciate all the positive feedback so much.

So now before we start the show let’s address the word of the week…..which is Listen

This is a big word to consider this week….and you should sit and consider listening to what I have say about it…Quite often I will listen to individuals observations and complaints about the lack of listening and attentiveness that they experience in their day-to-day life. This is frustrating when you are experiencing that but what I would like you to consider before we even address that element of the word is are you listening to yourself first. Your inner thoughts, that deep inner voice that speaks to you every day. What is it saying and what are you going to do about it. Are you ignoring your inner voice and allowing your ego to control your outcome and what are you going to do about that? Let me qualify what I mean by that inner voice…. not the conversation that you have with your conscience I am talking about that small inner voice that is a part of your deep inner consciousness….that voice that knows the truth. The voice that is attached to the divine consciousness. The voice that you ignore when your ego rules and desires a different outcome than the inner consciousness. Those are some of the things we are addressing here each week. It is about listening to that voice with honesty and acknowledging what it is truly saying to you. This is that part of you that is attached to the Divine and I am told all the time that the feeling of disconnect from their higher power or divine source is concerning and the need to know the trick to connect is pressing. It’s is simple….pray….then Listen. After you have reviewed that element then take your thoughts to your outter world….What are you listening to on a day to day basis…what information are you allowing into your world and what effect is it having. Have you taken the time to identify those things that you listen to that bring you joy, peace and contentment…if you have… are you listening to it enough to maintain that state or has it slipped out of your life as some things quite often do. Use this then as a gentle reminder to bring those things into your life again so it is not a memory… but in your present. If you hear yourself saying “I used to really enjoy that”…stop and take a moment to first consider why did you take it out of your life and how do you get it back in. It is very revealing when we address how we have allowed joy to slip away.

If you are a parent and you have that issue that most of us have experienced at one time or another where you are attempting to get your children to listen to you and it feels more like you are listening to yourself and nobody else is giving you the attentiveness that you desire…stop for a moment and consider this…we get stuck communicating in the same ways and allow it to go on and on…if you do something 100 times the same way…how then will 101 be different…it is up to you to change it…stop for a moment and look at the situation around you and ask yourself this…are you doing all the talking and no listening…People will not listen if they do not feel like they will be heard in return…So ask yourself this…do you really want to be heard or control what the other person thinks or feels in that particular situation.

Another element that I will gently remind you of is …..are you taking the time to address and listen to your higher power. We send our prayers and requests and complaints up daily and often I will be told that they do not hear anything in return…or that they are not sure if it is them or something else. If you ask a question to another person…what doyou do…you sit and listen to their response. You don’t ask the question and then tell them how they will answer it. It is the same when you are conversing with your higher power. You send up the request and you don’t tell them how you would like it answered…what it will look like….how it will get to you…when it will come…you send up the question and then shhhhhh…listen and stay aware….the answer will find you in many different ways and it may not be the response you were looking for but an answer will come. All Prayers are answered and that is a fact…if you are going to have faith then have faith and keep moving. Listen to the inner and external voices and experience how your journey will change.

If you would like a personal reading done please contact me at ….looking forward to hearing from you.

I want to thank all of you who were patient and took the time to call in I hope that the divine assisted you today in resolving some of the questions you had regarding your life’s journey….and for those of you watching at home and found that today’s calls resonated with you in some way …please know that you were meant to be watching so that you to could find resolution. Remember that the word of the week is listen and if you want more information about that you can find it on my blog at Don’t hesitate to send those requests up to the divine….your angels are always listening but if you don’t ask for help then how can things change…but in keeping with the message of this week don’t forget to take the time to listen to all that goes on around you, your inner thoughts and messages from the divine….consider it….remember to remain grateful and willing to accept all good things coming your way. Thanks again for all of you who are joining me on Twitter . I am sending out a daily inspirational tweet to assist all of you and I welcome anyone who would like to friend me on facebook. Thank you everyone for all your support for the show and thank you for joining me this week…I pray that this week brings you closer to those people and situations that bring you all the blessings that you want for yourself…and I will be here next week to listen to any questions that you may have and see you next time on Divine Lane.
